Straight answer
You can read this site without giving us personal data. We receive what you type into the contact form, our host logs technical request data, and Google Fonts receives your IP address when fonts load. No analytics, no advertising scripts, nothing sold.

Who we are
Threat Hunting Compare (threathuntingcompare.com) is published by Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. ("we"). We decide how the limited personal data described here is used. The site has no user accounts, no payments and no comments. You can read every page and use the calculator and comparison tools without giving us any personal data.
What we collect
Contact form. If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you enter, and for copyright notices the extra details that form asks for.
Hosting logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical data for every request: IP address, browser and device details, the page requested and the time. This is used to run and secure the site.
Google Fonts. Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts. When fonts load, your browser sends your IP address and browser details to Google.
Nothing else. The site loads no analytics, advertising or social media scripts. The calculator and comparison tools keep your choices in the page address (for example ?v= or ?tag=), not in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. See the Cookie Policy.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the site, and to read and answer messages you send us. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
Hosting and infrastructure providers acting for us, the service that delivers contact form messages once it is configured, and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country, wherever our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for as long as we need to handle them and then deleted. Hosting logs are kept for a limited period set by the host.
Your rights
EU and UK. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to our use of it, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA). You can ask to know and to delete or correct the personal information we hold, and to opt out of its sale or sharing, which we do not do. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Other laws. You also have the rights you have under other privacy laws that apply to you.

Children
The site is written for security buyers and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If what the site does with data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
